South Carolina. Thanksgiving 2013.

A few months ago my Grandmother confessed that she has never touched an animal in her life. Actually, she’s terrified of them. I half-jokingly told her that I would get her to pet something while I was home for Thanksgiving, but little did I  know the adventure we were in for!

I found a petting zoo / 125 acre farm about an hour north in Monroe, NC and somehow convinced my Grandma and two cousins to go and pet some animals!  Horses, sheep, llamas, zebras, camels, emus…you name it, we touched it!

Granny was scared but off we went on a petting zoo adventure!

 So proud of my Granny!The next day I went on an adventure of my own. I had read about a state park in Camden, SC where you could kayak through the cypress tress. A 3-mile canoe trail through the swamp and marsh and trees. Fabulous! And a perfect chance to try out my new GoPro Hero 3+!
