Costa Rica, Christmas 2013

Costa Rica is quickly becoming one of my favorite vacation spots! Especially now that Delta has a non-stop flight from Los Angeles to Liberia, Costa Rica. My family and I traveled for a Christmas week packed with adventure and fun!

My favorite part of the trip was rafting down the III-IV Class La Cucaracho River with Rio Tropicales / Flow Trips. We were the only reservation and had the entire river and jungle to ourselves. It was absolutely breathtaking to be in such a remote part of the country with no one else in sight.

We also spent a day at Guachipelin – zip lining, horse back riding, white water tubing, and natural hot springs. An incredible fun-filled day!

We visited the following places throughout our trip:  Hotel Guachipelin, Flow Trips Rafting La Cucaracho River, Congo Trail Zip-Line, La Penca beach, Llanos de Cortez Waterfall, day trip to Arenal Volcano, La Fortuna Falls, Hanging Bridges at Arenal, Snorkel at Playa Hermosa beach
